Default Waxing string

I have heard of string wax for bows. I bought some and it said to wax the string every 5 shots. Do I really need to wax it after every 5 shots. Where do I wax it. If it is unnecessary to wax it, It should make some good chap stick.

I usually wax my string after each time I go in the woods. this also depends on the weather . if your are in a hot climat. keep an I on strings for fraying. and wax it before you put it up for the season. really every one has different choices on waxing there string. the best would be. keep an eye on it and wax it when ever you want.

That would be like reloading a muskit...lol

Sorry

but remember,,if you wax up, you have to wax off..

Wax on, Wax off

i wax mine when ever i notice its got a little fuzz like on it,apply the wax and take a piece of a brown grocery bag for instance and put it around the string and rub it down it helps get the wax hotter and penetrate deeper with out buirning your fingers
