first go to my website and read some to the tuning and mech vs fixed sections. after that you should have a better idea of what kind of head you want. I also have links and a few test results on the site that compare the differnt heads. I will say though that the Montecs are excellent broadheads and will get the job done. Other quality heads include Muzzy, thunderheads, Rocky ti's, wasp hammers and bullets, slick tricks, phantoms, and Magnus stingers.

My vote always goes to Muzzy when it comes to this style of head. I always had good experiences when I used them.

Quality, quality, quality! Do not go cheap. Buy the proven b=heads that have been suggested. Any quality brand will do the job if you keep them razor sharp and you plant them properly.

I have used Rocky Mountain 3 blade Razors 125 gr. since they came on the Market-Elk, Deer, Caribou, Black Bear & MANY hogs. going after Buffalo this March & am using the Rocky Mountain 3 Blade Ironhead 125 gr.

I would vouch for Muzzy and Magnus

I think next year I will try the Montec, they look like a great head and I haven't heard anything bad from them yet.
