A friend at work told me that he got a 13 pointer, so I asked to see any pictures if he had them. He brought in some pictures of a rotting skull and spine. This guy always brags on the deer that he and his family kill. They have albums full of deer. He said that he couldn't get the mount because of his divorce(finances). Then his story changed to; the hide was in to bad of shape, so he was going to use another deer cape. I think he found the deer dead. Why would he show that photo, instead of one with him and a fresh kill?

It sure is odd how a rack can affect the human character. An acquaintance found a dead buck this past fall with small maggots on it - he insists to this day that it was the buck he was looking for that night - go figure! I can't stand the guy anymore.
My partner had lost a buck many many years ago he was tracking. One of the guys searching had found the deer and came back later to tag it. After a spell, he was bragging to others (not to my partner) about the 11 ptr he had killed! Why on God's green earth would someone do this!?
So not much surprises me these days, such as claiming a road kill...
