500 grains?
#1
I have a practice arrow that weighs 32 grams. On a conversion chart, that equals 500 grains. Could this be right? I thought arrows weighed more. Is there another method of checking this that I could do at home? Thanks

You can do it at home by looking up the weight of your arrow per inch. Multiply the weight per inch by the total length of you arrow. 4 inch vains are about 10-15 grains each. Nocks are around 15 grains and I believe inserts are around 20 grains. Thats will give you in the ball park for your arrow weight.
My arrows weigh in at 395 grains including broadhead.

My heaviest hunting arrows weigh in at 680gr-laminated birch and do they thump when they connect! My regular hunting shafts go 525gr(cedar) and this past year I hunted with Goldtip's that came in at 465gr.All shafts had a 125gr BH on.
