Wow!!! What can I say, he is AWESOME BABY!!
Only those who continue to "pound it out" in the late season realize the difficulty of the feat you just pulled off. Hats off to you my friend.
Be sure to include the details of your story when you give us the measurements. Some of us need all the help we can get as we sit in the deep freeze waiting for one of those big boys to come by.

Sorry, MQ...I think something is up with your deer! What is that yellow stuff all around his nose? Did you sedate him with some sort of spiked corn mash?
Seriously..congrats! That is one good looking deer, no matter what he scores!!!!

Hey guys! I appreciate all your comments, each and every one of 'em! (Well, except maybe the Hoyt one... )
I just got back from the taxidermist's, and this ol' boy scores better than I could have ever hoped, thanks in large part to his incredible symmetry and huge mass. He grosses 162 and 1/8, and ends up netting 156 and 1/8. Over four and a half inches of the deductions come from the extra kickers off his brow tines.
Here's his numbers:
right kicker: 1 3/8
left kicker: 2 6/8
inside spread: 18 6/8
right main: 23 7/8................left main: 23 5/8..................2/8 deduction
right G1: 5 3/8 ..................left G1: 5 4/8.....................1/8
right G2: 8 6/8...................left G2: 8 4/8.....................1/8
right G3: 10 1/8..................left G3: 10..........................1/8
right G4: 4 4/8...................left G4: 3 7/8.....................5/8
right base: 6 1/8..................left base: 6 1/8..................none
2nd circumf: 5 1/8..................2nd circ: 4 7/8..................2/8
3rd circumf: 4 4/8..................3rd circ: 4 5/8..................1/8
4th circumf: 3 7/8...................4th circ: 4........................1/8
_________________________________________________
.................72 2/8..............................71 1/8....................6
18 6/8 (inside spread)
+ 72 2/8 (right side)
+ 71 1/8 (left side)
______
= 162 1/8" gross
- 6" deductions
______
156 1/8" net
I thought I'd break it down like this because I find it very interesting. I'd never actually seen a deer scored before, though I had read up on how to do it on different sites. It's interesting once you see it all written out, and I thought a few of you who had looked at different score sheets would be interested in different measurements, such as Greg asking about his width. (That's inside width, Greg, so add another couple inches for his outside width )
It about wore me out trying to figure out how to post this so the numbers wouldn't get all jumbled up (hence the dots as place-holders), so I'll tell more of the story at a later date. I got to go get something to drink now.
