GUTSHOT DEER, WHAT TO DO?
#11
Awesome news, rattle-m-up! I think this is the first post I can recall of someone coming in here this year, telling about a not-so-perfectly hit deer, and then coming back to announce they had found it!! I'm probably wrong about that, but regardless, you deserve some big kudos!

Nice goin. They move on you at the most inopportune times. Crap happens! You used your head by waiting overnite. I agree with others, won't go far if you bailed on deer as you stated. Go on out and get your deer!!!

Great job! It always pays big dividends to wait, you almost always find them. Good feeling knowing your shot was better than you fist thought. Nice to here a good......no great ending!

Hoooaahh! Way to go. My first deer (last year) was a gut/lung shot. entered about three inches behind the ribs on the left side. exited the 3rd rib up on the right side. Der did the hundred yard dash of death. I saw the stomacky stuff on the arrow but also some deep red blood. about ten feet away there was some good blood so I followed it. Also, since it was very very warm I was sure that if I didnt' find it quickly it would be wasted. I got lucky. Way to go. That story has energized me to get back out there for the last few days of hunting season coming up.
