What was your first bow?
Recurve, longbow or compound? Just curious. Not counting a kid's fiberglass bow when I was a young whippersnapper, mine was a used Browning recurve bow. Compounds were relatively new at the time. In fact Allen, Jennings, Browning and PSE were the only ones when I started I believe, and were called 4 wheelers! What the heck was a cable guard?

1st bows were Osage long bows & Howard Hill , Fred Bear & Ben Pearson were young men when I started.
My 1st laminated recurve was a Eddings Cadet that I still have purchased in 1956-$45 & 45 lb. pull. took my 1st Deer with it in 1958 with a wood arrow I made myself. When compounds started to take hold I had 2 Archery Shops & lanes with over 200 Recurves-now that was a rough time to get through as a Archery Pro Shop. how we have changed.

Hey Bigbulls, my first bow was a Bear Whitetail II from Walmart's also....8 years ago. That's why I chose my call name "Walmart"...to give recognition to them....if it wasn't for them...I wouldn't be in archery right now.
