I haven't hunted many big game animals, but I would say that a cougar or wolf would be about the toughest especially if we are talking about with a bow(this is the bowhunting forum). Those might be classified as predators, but then how's about a grizzly bear? I believe that qualifies as a big game animal. What about a black panther. I bet the few of those that run around the Florida everglades would be tough to get with a bow!

Grizzlies and brown bears aren't that difficult to find and not that difficult to get in range. They could, however, eat you. I suppose that would qualify as tough....LOL

whitetails are a piece of cake compared to a BLACKTAIL..
Sheep are hard.
Goats are hard
Big Mulies are hard.
lions are the hardest i believe. no dogs.

Whitetail deer are really smart when it comes to hunting season.

I havent hunted anything other thna deer, but I believe a whitetail in an area with heavy hunting pressure is a completely different animal than a whitetail in an area with a low hunter density.

Without a doubt it's the Split Tailed Lounge Doe. No other critter requires the level of expenditure of resources, time, and effort for so little return.
