Best Broadhead for Bear Hunting
I'm going Bear Hunting in a couple of months and I canīt decide what's the best Broadhead I could use. So far I have been very lucky with SpitFire 100gr. but the bigest bowhunt I ever experienced is a WhiteTail Deer.
I have a Mathews Ultra2, Easton [email protected]", Feathers 4"; 68#
What broadhead shoul I use ?

I hate to say it but as long as its sharp it shouldnt matter. I would stick with what you got because you know it works. Everyone will tell you something different anyways. GOODLUCK JOEY

Black bear are no harder to kill than the average deer. Thier are a great many broadheads that will work well. The most important thing is to use a well tuned bow and arrow combination and razor sharp broadheads. that said, you won't go wrong with a Muzzy!

yuppers....as for me I plan on hangin up my 2 blades and change over to my 3 blade snuffers/wensel woodsmens. Has more to do with getting a hole instead of a slice when all that fat can and hair can soak up the blood like nobodys buisness! Other then that keep em sharp and shoot straight!

If not sure of your broadheads I would try the steelforce sabertooths. You can get them in either 100gr. or 125 gr.Iv'e used the same broadhead on a few animals. It's still sharp.

I've trying to use fixed blades but I get tired of tuning and not being aviable to make a good group. I do keep a pak. of 6 muzzy 100gr 4 blades in my archery box but I guess the main problem is that Im shooting over 280ft/sec; I know many of you guys can make them fly very good but in my case I got tired of trying and trying ..... and I do tunne them before I use them.
besides I don't Know I can ever make a shoot over 20yrd with fixed blades.
Do you guys think I could have penetration problems by using a Mech. for Bear Hunting?
Rigth now my setup makes a 70Ke.

I would try a N.A.P. Pro Series Thunderhead, probablly 115 grain. They are amazing broadheads. They are incredibly sharp and tough.
Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)
