Great looking mount. That buck is awesome looking. I remember when you first posted about harvesting him, your "in the woods" pics were terrific too. Congrats!!

I hear ya. I'm still waiting for mine from last season. He said it would still be a couple months. If he didn't do such a good job, I'd go somewhere else. IMO it shouldn't take over a year to get your mount back.

I took my buck in this year the day after Thanksgiving and was told it would be ready sometime in the summer.

This guy is top notch and only does a certain number per year. He has been doing it for 35 years so I think he might just go at his own pace.

Legacy357. He had a golf ball sized lump on his left rear leg at the knee that seemed to cause the racks character.

xibowhunter. I am friends with the taxi and he got him done quickly for me. It only takes 8 to 12 hours to mount a deer and then let it set up for 2 weeks before painting the nose and such. So actually in all reality you could get your deer mount back in 3 weeks, 1 week to order manigan (sp?) and 2 weeks to mount and set up for painting. Mine was only the third deer taken into him this year as well. Our season opened oct 4th and I shot him on Oct 17th. So even If we weren't friends I would have got it back quickly because there was no one really in line in front of me.

Last years mount was not taken to him and I had to wait 11 months to get it back. So i know what you guys are saying about waiting so long. I didnt want to take it to him because I didnt want him to offer me any discounts or anything on it. I just wanted treated like another customer.

Lots of character on that buck Congrats on getting him back so quick.
