RE: Do you practice in low light?
Taz I practice in all light conditions as well as in all weather conditions
the reason I do this is when I do get to go hunting the weather and light are never going to be perfect. |
RE: Do you practice in low light?
not in summer..kinda hard at 20 plus hours of light LOL! I do shoot in low light or moon light mainly for what little preditor calling I do. Was planning on going out this weekend if it gets cold again...if not there is no sense, for some reason they dont bother with the calls on the warmer days...oh well!

RE: Do you practice in low light?
I always practice in low light. We even shoot 3D in pitch black, with lights mounted to our bows. We shoot raccoons in trees, carp in ponds. Etc. It's a blast. They even give a cash reward to the most unique, bow mounted light.

RE: Do you practice in low light?
I do a lot of practicing at sunset...really helps out a lot. I'm not much of an early bird though(unless I'm hunting:)), so I think I'll pass on practicing at the crack of dawn<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>.

yea i try to shoot at the end of daylight as much as i can. It makes me more comfortable when it is time to hunt.

RE: Do you practice in low light?
I try to practice in low light as much as possible. Most of my winter shooting is inside though, so it's all pretty well lit shooting. During the spring and fall I'll shoot later in the day, and try to get some post-sunset shooting in. I have shot a caribou at 1:30am, but not much need for low light practice there, the bloody sun was still up!

RE: Do you practice in low light?
Now that I'm back to shooting instinctive with a recurve, it's a lot easier to shoot at light's end. As long as I can see well enough to tell the distance and pick a spot I'm OK. Now I just need em to extend the shooting hours a little. LOL

RE: Do you practice in low light?
Sure do, lots of times I practice until dark. In the off season I will get out in the yard before sunrise on the weekends (I get up early everyday), and fire away. The neighbors think I am nuts, but they don't tell me that while I am shooting.
