I read all about the Lovstuen buck in the latest issue of NAW. The rack--although bigger by their accounts--looked better to me in the many pics they have from it over the last couple years. It had more symetry and a better spread in past years. It also seemed a shame to me that it was gut shot and almost not recovered--not a fitting end for a world record buck.

Sorry, I don't have a picture, but I can give some additional information about this buck. I ran into one of my old high school teachers at the end of the WI rifle season and he mentioned seeing a huge buck in Bruce, WI. He said it was in the back of a guy's pick-up and watched another guy take out a measuring tape and measure its inside spread and it was 32 inches with somewhere around 16 scorable points. I believe we will be hearing about this buck in the future for sure.

Don't praise this young man to much according to the WISCONSIN OUTDOORS NEWS December 19 2003 edition on Page 6, this buck was shot near Dryden Ontario 30 minutes AFTER Legal Shooting hours & the rack was seized by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

rack as a new world record.
