Ben first let me congradulate you and your friends, second the pics are pretty interesting, the chances of that happening are pretty darn slim, I have heard of a lot of broadheads being found in deer, but never basically inside a rib!

No one gets any special treatment at Belvoir!!!! It used to be that active Military got so many slots, but you could not be bumped if you were like me, a civilian, So if an area could hold 10 hunters, 6 would be reserved for Military and 4 for civilians. They did away with that due to lack of participation by Military hunters. Now all slots are open on first come first serve reguardless of status. You should checlk into it. I have taken, now, just over 70 deer with a bow and about 70% of those came from Belvoir. The QDM program has really showed what it can do when its in place. Belvoir is by most standards a small Base but you should see some of the bucks taken this year, Mine is just 1 of many good bucks. Plus we have an early and late season there. If you want more info, e-mail me, I will help with any details I can.
Taz, see you should have gotten in there, you could have been getting in the woods everyday on your way home from work.

Wow, Ben, great deer! Thanks for sharing that with us. It is amazing how deer are able to survive being shot like that. Congratulations on a nice deer mount!

If any of the VA people want any info on Belvoir, let me know, It is a Bow hunting only Base. Alot of deer with good genetics. The south side of the base is labled QDM with the limits expredded above in a post, The north side is any deer, reguardless of points or spread.

are you getting the boxes with the red X' s in it or just nothing at all? if just red X' s I could email them, if just nothing, it is just slow loading here, just open the topic leave ,go have dinner, then come back and they should be up.
