There is a post from a guy on here saying he dropped his bow and then later shot a nice buck. I was wondering if any of you have any tips/tricks to keep your bow safe while putting on your gloves and release. I used to use a little clip leash but it kind of wore down my string. Any ideas would be appriciated.

I use bow holder that screws into the tree so I put that into the tree before I bring my bow up. When I pull my bow up I move my bow over to the holder and let it hang there. Then I untie it and do everything else I need to do before getting settled in.

I use a Realtree 3 arm EZ hanger. It' s the first thing I put up after strapping in with the SOTP harness. Screw it into the tree and swing it over out of the way while you get the rest of your stuff ready, then haev a seat and swing it back over in front of you. Always within hand' s reach.

Well, for one, I put my gloves and release on in the truck. The only thing I like to do once I get to my stand is climb it and sit down!! I do have an ez hanger to hang my bow on when I get tired of holding it. But I get about everything ready prior to my walk out.
