I also get everything on when I get out of the truck. I have ez hangers on all my stands. Hang the bow when I get up, get settled in, and then swing the arm in front of me. It is a great tool. Plus they have 4 other small hooks to hang your grunt, glasses, whatever......

I screw a bow holder into the tree before I take my bow off the string.

i just got a realtree 3 arm hanger ,it was on sale for 12 bucks at woodlands world, i used to use the rubber coated hooks that screw in the tree , after the tree stand is set to go thats the first thing i do before i pull my bow up the tree.

I usually have everything on when I get into the woods as well. I don' t even get to my hunting area until about 30 minutes before sun-up. I know a lot of people that get there hours before sun break, but I can' t seem to do it so I adapt my hunting to my ability. I normally stalk in.

When I get to my tree, I use my climber to get up. I have a bow holder attatched to my foot rest. When I get to my desired heigth (about 20' since that is how long my rope is). As soon as I pull my bow up I will put it on the rest. The rest keeps it pretty secure and right at my knee when I' m sitting down.

I few years ago I purchased a knock-off ez-hanger. The threads on the end of it to screw into the tree are so thick that I have yet to get it into a tree without using a drill to start the hole. Is the ez-hanger " ez" to hang?

I' ve used it on almost every kind of tree imaginable, both hardwood & soft. It zips right in with no problem. I definitely recommend getting the 3 arm version, I have a 2 arm and to me it is just too short. Your bow hangs off to the side rather than in front of you. I bought mine at Eders for ~$15.

After having a look at those store bought bow hangers I stopped off at Home depot and picked up the stuff to whip up three of them for the same price. That way I can leave one in each stand. For the record...I dropped my Bowtech and bent the upper wheel. My dealer took one off an Extreme on the rack and installed it for me then and there and sent me on my way. I later came in and paid him 21 bucks for the replacement he ordered. It pays to spend you money in one place!

I put my bow into the built-in bow holder of my Lone Wolf Alpha and go about the business of " settling in" .
