My son???????? You got to be kidding. It was/is my brother and It' s not all that. Too mant variables. Hunted some state property in Benidict a couple weeks ago but had to take a 12" jon boat ride for 25 minutes to reach it. Damn cold on that water this time of year . Been a really bad year, havn' t gotten out much at all due to other factors, but watch out for next year . Going to have to find some acreage next year.

. It may have been Confucius who said something like, " Don' t stand on a corner and argue with a fool, passersby may not know who is who."
Len,

That is the most prophetic statement that I have heard in quite some time. Even though I recall hearing that quote some years ago, I appreciate you for reminding me. I sometimes forget that you ultimately get farther with negative people by taking the high road. I appreciate you and David for letting some of us with poorer deer herds, hunt places that you can actually see 10-20 deer a day, vicariously through both of you! I just wish we had the same kind of problems here that you guys have there, because I would be right there with you

Silent... we draw blanks just like anyone. I think there are great deer herds just about anywhere now days. I remember growing up in NY the guy who got a deer period was king of the mountain for the year(and that was gun hunting) Todays herds have exploded. Just got to find the pockets. For example, I had the opportunity to shoot a deer every time I was in a tree last week in NY on public ground. Sometimes you get lucky. The last afternoon I had 12 or 15 deer come into this little grove of wild apple trees I was in. The area gets hunted hard(near the road) but no one gets back where they' ve chased them all to. We used to not beable to shoot a doe. Now they beg us to.
