I missed last Sunday afternoon. That infamous unseen branch that Quack Addict mentioned got me for a clean miss. The shot was only 20 yards and the deer was a management deer with a very small rack and broken leg. I regret the miss because the deer may not make it, but would rather save the tag for a shot at a big one later.

Missed a trotting yote at 40 yards last week. If you mean deer that would have been last year. Kisser came off and I didn' t realize it. Nice big buck at 27 yards and I shot 2-3 inches over his back[:@] Haven' t seen that particular buck yet this year. Maybe someone got him last season.

I never miss.
Just kidding ofcourse.
Actually the last time I missed a deer was the end of the first week of our archery season this year. I forgot what distance I had ranged a particular spot for and a deer walked right into that area. The distance was 22 yards but I shot it at 30 and the arrow went right over the animal' s back.
There is always tomorrow...

I have missed 2 times in the past month and I got second chances on these deer. But I blame the misses on operator malfunction. I just need to practice more with my bow. But that is what makes it so great. Bow hunting is a challenge. Bow hunting gives me the biggest rush. I hope you all experience this.

Last Monday, 7 am, a six ptr, at 16 yards. From the ground, I made bad release, maybe due to heavier jacket, or nerves, Arrow made funny noise upon shooting and fishtailed low under belly. Buck ran away, snorting for five minutes!

1 shot, 1 kill.
