Default poll on calling

I was just kind of interested in if people have more succes calling (ratteling, grunting, bleeting) or just sitting quiet in the stand.

I don' t call unless I see a deer. I have had success with them comming in. Well, all 3 times. Was able to shoot all three. It was at the beginning of the rut, and I used a doe bleat.

I' ve had some success with a grunt tube and the can..........I have had a little success with rattling.......But most of the time just sitting quiet in a good spot is the best.

I have rarely had success when using any form of active hunting techniques. Most of my success comes from sitting quietly in an area that shows good amounts of deer sign.

I have killed a lot more deer with silence then I have with calling, but I have brought a nice buck in with a doe bleat.

I' ve had most of my success with calling--but it seems that I have to see the deer first, then call it the rest of the way in

I like to do alot of calling during the rut. I have pretty good success with calling even to deer that I don' t see first. I don' t have much luck with rattling but grunting and the can I had great luck this year!

This year' s first buck was brought in by a couple soft bleats. The MONSTER buck I missed last Friday responded to rattling with some grunts thrown in. I' ve also called in some does with bleats this year. Over the years, I' ve taken several deer using calls, but most were taken sans calls.
