Sounds like unfortunately it will never improve if they are exempt from regulations the population will suffer there anyways. Short of approaching the tribal elders and begging on their sense of honor(which has probably long since gone away) There isn' t much that can be done other than looking for new land.

That' s just the tip of the iceburg, we find piles of fish that they catch and then throw by the roadside during spawning mind you!They do the same thing here where i live.Then you have all of the casinos making millions a day that they do NOT pay taxes on!I have a co-worker that used to work at the closest casino and his job was to just count money from half of the slot machines(they can only count half of them in one working day)and he said they average 1.3 million on half the slots EVERY DAY--1.3!I have nothing good to say about the local tribe--that' s just my opinion and i' m sticking to it.HAVE A NICE DAY!

I heard a funny quip about how some guys in northern Wisconsin were dealing with the Indians and walleyes. Apparently these fellas got sick of the Indians taking all the fish, so they made some cement " fish" and painted them fluorescent so they reflect at night. Apparently the Indians frequently shine them at night and then spear them. These guys claimed to have harvested a good number of Indian spears/tridents based on what they found on the banks. Sorry about your luck.

I live in minnesota and i hate what they have done to millacs lake and to hunting like you say. they say they want to be like there ancestors well there ancestors speard fish bow hunted not netted and gun hunted they are little girls who cant get over the fact that the white man beat them. they say there reservations are a seperate nation then why do they get social security and the right to vote i could care less if they would hunt like there ancestors did id think who cares but the way they do it now is just horrible and somone should stop them.

you need to go over to their hunting camp with a couple gallons of firewater as a peace offering ...then at least you might get some peace and quiet the next morning

Amen. I just can' t stand what they are doing and the way they are doing things. When is the oppression that they are crying about going to end? Fine, if you want to be able to hunt and fish like your ancestors did.....carve a canoe out of wood...use wood spears and have at it. Don' t use $20,000 boats with 8 million candle watt powered spotlights and state of the art spears and gill nets or whatever they use to do it. Ride around in $30,000 trucks shooting out of the window at deer for fun, just because they are allowed to. Another funny thing is....they are suppose to be a seperate nation, but it' s our police force and fire fighters that they use when I don' t believe they pay the taxes we do. Doesn' t seem right. I know of a few of the tribal members of the Prior Lake area here in MN and it' s not life they are high on. Don' t get me wrong, there are a few that do plenty of good with what they got, but not many.
