Thoughts on Scent-Lok
#2
It is on my " short list" of items to buy in the near future. I have yet to buy any of the charcoal-impregnated clothing simply because I have not personally seen a need for it in my situations....plus most of the time opinions seem to be mixed on its usage.

I have one... I am not sure how much it has helped me, and I seriously don' t think it is a Cure all... and the slogan is BS " Forget the wind, just hunt" NO WAY... But it is just another thing to add to your collection of things to fool that Monster Whitetail...Main thing I think is to still use all your scent free practices and don' t think just cause you have this Majic suit you can get away without using cover scent, and Scent Eliminator...

Well, as an owner of 2 suits I can offer my opinion. I think the carbon suits help but only a little. You still need to as much scent elimination on your other clothing, equipment, etc. If I were doing it again I wouldn' t spend the money. The benefits over regular camo are not significant enough to justify the higher cost and higher maintenance.

My opinion on the matter is that it wont stop the scent from your breath and that will put a lot more oder in the air than your body. The money will be better spent on more important things like a quick beer after the hunt!

I have had mine for two years now. Besides taking the usual precautions such as showering with scentfree soap and clean clothes. I run mine through the dryer ever four or five days of use. I will say that the first year was great and had several deer downwind without getting busted once. Seems that the more you use it the less effective it is. After two years I have concluded that there is not much help from it as I have been busted 3 times already, including last night by a doe being chased by a young buck. As far as breath control that is covered by a mask that is of the same material.
