Need some help in setting up in a swamp area. Should i put a treestand at the edge of the swamp on a good trail or plunge into the swamp a few hundred yards and place a stand there.
Any advice would be appreciated

For an evening hunt I' d set up on the edge of the swamp between the swamp and where they' re feeding. For a morning hunt, I' d slip into the swamp from the other side and set up right in the middle. Be waiting for them in their bedroom.

Is where your hunting pressured? If so get set up as close to the swamp as possable before the pressure is applied from the onslaught of others entering the woods. If the deer are already in the swamp catch them at the edge as they leave it, in either case I see no need to enter the swamp, hunt the edge.
