Default any idea' s to improve the odds during miday

Due to other obligations,I' m forced to bow hunt from 9 am till 2 pm for the next 2 weeks.I can get out and hunt all day Saturday and Sunday. The area I hunt does not have any other hunters,so if the deer move it will be natural movement.Would you use the time sitting in a treestand?I have 3 set up on the property.Should I try still hunting or should I use the time to scout other places for the upcoming gun season? Thanks for any help.

Well, you shoot em if your not out there! I say take to the woods. There isn' t a whole lot you can do but wait them out. Here is one thing that I' ve found though. If you can locate two know bedding areas that are a good distance from one another, try setting up between them. Make sure you can sneak into the area without being heard or seen and certainly don' t go through the bedding areas, but if you can get in there undetected during mid morning and setup you have a prime location during the rut.

The buck will be antsy this time of year and often they' ll be moving from bedding area to bedding area to wind for hot doe' s. If you' re between a couple of these beds, you stand a good chance of running across one.

Don' t sweat it though, the more time you spend in the woods, the better your chances.

good luck

Well, in all honesty the rut is really starting to get going in some areas. That' ll definately help your mid-day odds. Especially if you can find an area where does are feeding or getting water.

The full moon is Nov. 8 so midday activity should be very good. Last year my friend rattled in two bucks at 2 p.m during the full moon. Rattling will get a buck out of a midday bed to check it out. I wouldn' t be bashful wish a doe bleat call either. If they are up and moving around, great. If they aren' t , get them on their feet.
