Default WIZZIN' IN THE WOODS!!!

Hey All,

This is my first post in the boards here. I' m just getting into bowhunting. I just bought a used Hoyt Viper with all the bells & whistles.

Anyhow, here is my question... My son & I recently walked along the edge of a woods I plan on hunting this season. I say several fresh rubs on saplings along the edge of the woods as well as tracks in a field next to the woods. As I was looking at some of the rubs. I heard a stange sound... I turned around & saw my 4 year old son WIZZING IN THE WOODS!!! [] He was " watering the grass" about 20 feet from the rub I was looking at!

How will his " scent" affect the deer when they get a whiff of it? Will it spoil the area for hunting? If so, for how long?

Thanks for any info you might have!

a lot of people like to pee any where anytime, they even pee in scrapes, but i carry a pee bottle and pee in it. scent free as i can. i don' t think it will affect your hunting spot but i have had deer spook when i just got done peein out of the stand when i forgot my pee bottle.50% chance it will hurt your spot.

go deep hunt hard.

There is a post about this every couple weeks or so. There have been studies that say urine is urine the deer don' t know it is human urine. There is an active post about some people peeing on their scrapes and then bucks tear the scrapes up.

Welcome to the board. Some say it hurts some say it dont matter. I whizz everywhere and it dont seem to bother them. I have done it in them scraoes and the next day they were all tore up. The scent and scent free companies would have you broke if you bought all there junk, plus you would need a truck to get it all to your stand. the last funny thing I seen was there selling a rear view mirror for your treestand. What next live deer decoys.

Rear view mirrors
If we took all the gadgets in with us we would need a wheelbarrow.

Just got back from a four day hunt and whizzed out of my tree several times each day. Never had a single deer react negatively to my urine. As a matter of fact, I had several bucks come right to my urine, smell and lick it.

My dad had a kidney stone a couple weeks ago, so he was wizzing out of the stand all morning. Saw six small bucks within 40-50 yards. So i dont think it hurts. Im thinking about going out and peeing on a scrape just to see what happens. I think most of the deer hunting stuff is to attract the hunter, not the deer.
