Default James Valley Sample Help Please

I received my sample of " Lethal Weapon" and I am wondering how I should use it as this point. I really dont want to make a scrape unless that is the best way. I read where some just put it on sticks or one guy said he put it on cotton balls and threw them on the ground and watched a buck eat the all. If you have used this stuff or something similar I would like to hear your success and how you applied it.

If you want the sample to last a bit longer take and apply it to a cotton ball. Put the cotton ball inside a 35 mm film canister and take the lid off and set the film canister down where you can shoot. I try to put mine where i can get a good shot as the deer walks buy to get to the lure. I have never had a buck eat the stuff they usually just smell it.

I have used JV with great success in the past. Sometimes it works, other times the deer wont even pay attention to it. But, by applying it to sticks you are leaving the smell out there all the time where if your using the canisters its only there when you are. When your done hunting toss the lid back on and slide the whole thing in a ziplock bag and seal it up.

Thanks for the reply Don. I have never used a gel before so I didnt know how well it would apply to cotton balls.

It applies just fine.

Last time i had success using this stuff i had 5 different bucks running a ridge looking for does. Each one was down wind and came right up to the canister and stuck their nose in it. I shot the first one and watched the other 4 come in about every 15-20 minutes before i got down to track the first one.

Like i said before too i have had deer just act like the stuff wasnt even there. But when it works it works!
