ARROW REST QUESTION...

OK....Im pissed! Im new to shooting a bow and recently bought my first one. I was having problems with my arrows not shooting straight. I start doing alot of reading about arrow rests and how the vanes (or whatever those 3 things at the end of the arrow are called) should never ever ever ever touch the rest when you release the arrow. well the way my little flipper type rest is made, it is IMPOSSIBLE to shoot without at least 2 of them touching it. What kind of retard made this rest!? Its a good way to make someone think they are a lousy shot. Anyway im not sure what model of rest i have is but ill describe it. Its plastic and black, goes under then up the side of the arrow. HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO NOT LET THE VANES TOUCH IT WHEN I RELEASE THE ARROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see im very very frustrated and would like to know if any of you use this kind of rest and how you get away with it. I know i can go spend 12 bucks and get a decent one but its just the idea that they would even make one that does what it is not supposed to. Thanks for listening to me whine over a $2 arrow rest. LOL Any thoughts?

Sorry to hear of your frustration. I have some suggestions for you to look at. First I only use that type of rest for a Muzzy fishing arrow with no fletchings.
If I was getting a new bow set up I would look at three types of rest, depending on you style of shooting.
For a flipper style rest GKF Speed Set
For a containment rest GKF Shootout
For a drop away rest GKF TKO
All are great quaility products with life time guarantees. If you visit www.goldenkeyarchery.com you can see pictures of each rest. To see the TKO make sure you dont have a pop up blocker on. TKO and Shootout can be set up for Left or Right hand shooters. If you have questions about any of them let me know. You also can email me if needed [email protected]
