I try to, but most of the time forget, I thought about that software program that you just type it into, Seems pretty cool, it also may make me do it more knowing I had to buy the program and want to get my monies worth.
There site is being updated but check back with them , you may like it too.

I started doing that last year. Makes it easier to remember what, when, how you saw them the year before. I just write it in my planner right now. I am going to get a log book.
Might be interesting to the grandkids someday

I keep a hand written journal and I" m tired of writing it all.lol I' d really like to get some good software like Ben mentioned. I' m going to look into it. I' d like to be able to get a program that would let me enter all the technical info, like temp, the moon, month etc. AND then be able to search the date by each of those categories. Make sense? For instance, I' d like to be able to search my data and see all my enteries for the full moon for instance and see what my sightings were etc.

Yeah I' ve been keeping a hand written journal of hunting/scouting excursions for about 4-5 years now, it' s great to go back and review sightings according to moon, weather, etc.
Like someone else said above, I hope someone down the line in the family will read it when I' m old and shriveled and get some chuckles out of it!

I write down the sightings and stand hunted in on the calendar , than just tear off that month and save in a pile. Than just go back to the month I' m hunting to get referances.

I' ve got a Word document on my computer that I update after every outting. I record time of day, what stand I sat, weather conditions, wind direction, and deer seen both while on stand, or walking to/from stand.
I' m working on getting my own site up eventually, but it' s hunting season and I don' t have time for that right now.

My 7 year old son made me a deer journal to keep track of my deer sightings. I thought that was pretty cool, so I do that for him. Hopefully I will be able to put a " got him" in the journal this weekend!!!
