Yup I do. But only the basic stuff. I can look back to find the dates the deer were in the acorns, then the apples, when the rut started, when it seemed to stop. When I shot my deer, that kind of stuff.

Funny I was just mentioning to my hunting partner that we should be keeping track of stuff.
I was thinking of just using arial photos ( I have a mapcard.com subscription ) to mark deer activity, stand locations, crops, etc. I was trying to decide if I want to print a sheet off for every day afield or just manipulate them with Photoshop and save them on my computer.
Being a geek and graphics guru, I am leaning to the Photoshop route so i can have standardized symbols. I might look into that program BenfromVa mentioned though.
5 yrs ago or more I use to have giant arial maps like you get from county offices and i mounted them to styrofoam...then i used thick clear plastic from harware store to cover them. I would then mark on the clear plastic with overhead projector markers. That was kinda cumbersome, so I just started writing it all out in a journal.... well that got old.
Wonder if they need someone to finish that web site up for them...beings that is what I do for a living and they are missing all these hits. lol

I do! I am so glad that I wrote my entire experience the first year I bowhunted. I keep it at work, and every once in a while, I' ll come across it, read it, and actually live the entire season over. Ahhh, what a beautiful thing! I' ve gotten sloppy lately, though, and need to slow down and start writing.

i have been keeping a journal for 5 seasons now, i put the stand i sat in, deer seen, wind direction, how long i sat, what the deer did, calling methods, cloudy or sunny. I like going back and remembering each hunt. Also, after a few years you start to notice local trends from year to year under certain circumstances. Helps me choose where to sit on a particular morning or evening.

hehe... lets throw a vb or web front end on that puppy and make it available to the rest of us non db writing guys. lol
Actually how many fields and tables do you have in it. Is it complex or just enough to allow you to query it?

This is my 6th year keeping a log. I keep the date, stand, am hours, pm hours, deer seen, bucks seen, and then I make some sort of comment every time out.
I' m a vb programmer, I' ve been thinking of creating a log for years. Just haven' t gotten around to it. I' ve seen some free trials of some but they are often overkill. One of these days I' ll get around to it.
One thing I' ve noticed by looking back is I don' t see many deer in september in the main stand that I hunt. Then the middle of October and November I see deer almost every time out. Tonight I saw a nice buck chasing a doe in that stand. First nice buck I' ve seen bow hunting in 3 years (wouldn' t have known that without looking back. hehe).

hunt3r,
Its got 4 table weather, deer, location, date&time.
When I was going threw my computer courses I had to create a database for my access class and could not think of anything. then it hit me why not hunting database. My instuctor was impressed
Been using it ever since. Its even got pictures and journals
