become more proficient at bow hunting.

The reason I ask is I am getting somewhat frustrated and I must be missing something. I am aware of TR Michel' s book and that is one option, I was looking for some others.

Bottom line is I started last year, am proficient with the shooting aspects, getting into and out of my stand safely, scent control etc. However seems I can' t find any deer. I could find them before the season started and now I go out in the same woods to those same places and they' re not there. I know this is personal attack on me by the deer population and I want to show them that I am up to the challenge.

Please keep in mind that since I am new to this I am not looking (well I am looking ) but not expecting a monster buck, just some does to start with maybe and I will work my way into the trophy hunting scene.

Seriously though, I am frustrated and have read several of Greg Miller' s books as a start, I read the posts here, thought I was scouting but I still am not seeing anything.

All recommendations appreciated.

Thanks,

ma_hunter, the deers food sources have changed from the pre-season, find where they are feeding and you will find deer. The bucks, up here anyways, are starting to feel their oats and are starting to come into calling pretty good. Soon, they will be chasing does, so find the does and you will find the bucks. Just remember, be persistant, and if it happens that you don' t get a deer, the time in the bush is a wonderful time. Good luck.
