I agree with you NorthernMN, but the yotes are thick where we hunt and its made a considerable difference in our small game and turkey population. I don' t want to " kill them all" but thinning them out will not hurt. Like I said, we have some trappers working our property and we' ve already seen some results.

And I agree that they should be kept in check when the population gets out of hand. I think we should do the same with whitetails. In fact I will be working hard to that end again this afternoon. Have to keep thos big bucks in check, We wouldn' t want to have too many of them, err wait...[:o]

Kill a coyote whenever you get the chance. Mangy little bastards tear apart cows, ducks, geese, deer, anything they can.

You must be looking through one of those " Marvin" windows. And yes you guys are " different" but the Canuks, well they are a whole different breed. The Canada/M.N thing always seemed weird especially in the NW Angle where you are actually in Canada. Also in N.D. they can hunt sandhill cranes but it is a no-no in MN. It is too bad about the 612ers making all the laws without ever being north of St. Cloud. They really don' t have a clue what 2/3 of their state is really like, and for any of them to do anything outdoors besides golf would make them a hick.
I hope to get back up there to visit when the crust gets thick, the spring northern run is my favorite time to drill holes and get a " Minnesota Sunburn" in 10 degree weather.

Yep, lots of those silly laws never made much sense to me. You can probably shoot loons in ND too[:o]

Tastes like pelican![&:]

Seriously though I expect it is probably like that in most states. Urban areas dictate the laws of the land. Often not for the better.

Things look good through the " marvin" windows today. Looks like I have the afternoon off:D

:DHow' s that old saying go...Smok' em if you got ' em! Lots of coyotes around here. I' ve shot a couple over the past 30 years but not nearly enough! They are everywhere! As far as eating cats...I see that as a good thing. [:o]

To me, the only good CAT is a dead CAT.

Well said :D

As for coyotes and cats if i saw one chasing after a cat i would be cheering it on. I have gotten a few coyotes in the past. They are predators and so some good for us but probably more bad then good. If i saw on within bow shot..would definetly take a shot and try:D

I would love to get a shot at one. Completely wipe them out NO they have their place and I respect that.

When I' m bowhunting (whitetails) I' m not gonna loose an arrow on anything except a whitetail. I had two yotes come within 15 yards of my stand last year , roughly ten minutes later the 8pt buck that I shot came by. I would imagine that if I had shot one of them and he started yelping , the buck would have high tailed it elsewhere.

Does this answer your question? The story can be read at www.asatcamo.com under ASAT believers.

I' ve shot a pile of deer, this is my only yote..I consider it a trophy.
