About fell out of my stand!!!
Went to my stand Sunday afternoon (temp around 80). I was wearing my Redhead Supressant undersuit with my 3D leafy outerwear. I walk about 150 yards and get to my stand in a cyprus swamp. Climb up my sticks and get to my stand. As I am climbing in my stand I get real dizzy almost to the point of passing out. I am glad I hooked up my SOP harness to the tree. I got in my stand and just sat there for a while. I think I overheated from the walk and I was was sweating pretty bad. The supressant undersuit just does' nt breath! Climbed out of my stand after a hour and headed home and got in bed. Man I was sick, has this ever happened to you guys? I think from now on until it cools down I am going to wear a light shirt as I walk to the stand and change into the suppresant long sleeve shirt and 3D leafy top when I am in the stand. My only concern is am I defeating my scent-free purpose by changing clothes when I get in my stand?

If you are serious about what you wrote, I' d go see a DR real soon and get a complete physical. That sounds bad that you almost passed out, etc. Sometimes feeling sick and ill like that is a symptom of a heart attack or stroke, etc. No way should you ever feel like that going hunting. Seriously, go see a DR and start exercising.
Now, if you said you were huffing and puffing ans almost passed out on the way out of the woods dragging a nice 12 point, then I could understand!

It never hurts to see the Dr. Expecially if the visit is covered by insurance. Though I think you' ll be just fine. If you were sick when you got back home then likely the heat became more of a factor when walking to your stand. A few days rest should serve well.
Just my opinion ... I' m not a Dr. though.

Yeah, get yourself checked out. As to one of the other replies. We had a friend who did have a heart attack while dragging his deer out of the woods. No one was with him and when he was found it was too late. He was only on his early 40' s and seemed to be in good health. Always be careful and make sure someone knows where you are and when you should be returning.

That happened to me a few years ago. After a brisk walk to my stand and climbing up I started to feel faint, I held onto the trunk of the tree and closed my eyes. When I opened them again I felt better but my bow was laying on the ground. I dont even recall dropping it. Glad to hear you' re feeling better. Very important to stay in shape and drink plenty of water during the season.

I got in a tree one time and had to climb down after about 30 minutes. Before I climbed down I chucked all my greasy bacon, eggs, redeye gravy and bisquits all over the Georgia landscape. You see...... I was young and foolish and we' d had one heck of a party the night before.[] Mr. Bud and Mr. Jack Daniels, myself and my hunting buddy. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh.... never again. My body was not in real good shape.
As far as your passing out... having had some heart problems.. I' ll agree. You should go get a physical and give him all your symptoms. No way should you be sweating that much in 150 yard walk... especially not packing a stand on your back. I' d make sure I got a stress test scheduled too. Tell him you haven' t been doing any regular exercise(if you haven' t) and want to start. He' ll give you one before you begin the program. Take it slow.

Well I went to the doctor today. Last week I had a stomach virus and they seem to think it caused vertigo. Seems I may have a inner ear problem caused by the virus. He said it should go away soon. If not I will have to go to a ear specialist. They took blood work just in case. Thanks for the support, sure hope it is gone by saturday. I am itching to get back in my stand

Vertigo can be a nasty condition to deal with, actually more of an inconvenience. Did you physician give you any meds such as antivert?? Also, ensure you are well hydrated before heading to a stand in warm weather conditions while wearing a suit that will cause excessive water loss. The diffference between fatigue and heat stroke is only an additional 3% dehydration. So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. You may have to pee a little more so just bring a bigger bottle.
