All I know is there will be a New Moon/no Moon the first week of Nov. It will be super dark going in in the mornings. I love it!

Right on early in!!! I live by the new moon. Its the first week of Nov and that is the BOMB!!! Can't wait,shud Be HOT , RUT,HOT that week! Hope its also real cold in our part of PA. But thats a flip of the coin anymore with our crazy weather! Good Luck,Be Safe!

The wildlife biologists that put gps collars on deer have never found any significant association of movement (rut or not) with moon phase. That being said, if it works for you, then go for it...

I agree. I think several factors have to come together to make it magical. I think if its bright because of the full moon deer will move more during the night..cold weather..barmetric pressure...and other factors like these come together and that whats makes the rutt thrive or become dull.
