Was bow hunting for hog and looking for deer sighn for the upcoming bow season on public hunting land which can only be gotten to by boat , Or if your brave enough you can ride a 4 wheeler through W.M.A. property.
Spotted a real nice hog that weight out at 80 lbs..I set and waited for the hog to come within range.Whene he hit the 30 yard mark I stuck him good ,double lung shot passing all the way through. The hog grunted and began to run and I heard dogs chasing my hog into the bushes. When I heard the hog stop I heard dogs chewing and pulling at him.I ran over and waved my bow at the dogs and yelled for them to get away.
Now it gets better,Right behind me rode up 2 men and a women if you want to call her that
on horseback.Which the dogs and horses had to get access through the W.M.A. which is definitly illegal. The man in the front began yelling what did you do with my dogs.I told him nothing but would have kicked them in the head if the dogs came back.
He began to tell me that that was the sow he had been tracking for his client and I should not have shot it.Remember this is public hunting with thousands of acres. I told him that could not have been the sow and he became more beligerant and kept yelling.
Finnaly he pissed me off and I told him that you must not be much of a guide if you dont know the difference in a boar and a sow.As i told him this I spread the legs of it and said see.He and the other two rode off back towards the W.M.A. with the guide saying you better not be in here tomorrow.
I asked around and found out who he was and all the info. needed about him which I reported all to the game warden who had said that he was suspected to be hunting in the Wildlife mngt.area and they were wanting to find him.
I feel people like him give all hunters bad names and dont understand why with all the acres out ther he had to try and rain on my parade. He did not get to me though because this was my first hog and I was proud to get him.

Nice job holding your ground and turning him in
.
Hopefully they' ll catch him. Sounds to me like the
guy doesn' t know what " public" means.
Congrats on your hog
sounds like a beauty[:-].

Good job getting the hog and for turning the outfitter in! I sincerely doubt that is th e norm for outfitters. Sounds like that guy is very dishonest and selfish.

You were absolutely in the right and I love how you slammed the guy....like mentioned he doesn' t sound like much of a outfitter/guide and I doubt he really is....gives us all a bad name, outfitters, guides and hunters in general...
You did good. Congrats and thanks for doing your part.
