Good idea,,or NOT ?
If you have only 1 good bedding area to hunt,is it a good idea to fill your doe tags as soon as you can,,or wait till as late in the season as you can ??.I have heard people talk about both,,but no clear answer.

i guess it' s up to the individual. i prefer to shoot my doe early if given the chance. one reason being, why wait until she' s possibly already bred by a buck. two, later on in the season i like to wait and let the does pass and see if a buck is trailing. when the chasing starts i don' t want to smell the area up with tracking, gutting, etc. just my 2 cents.

I absolutely agree with 10 point tony, why wait until they are bred. I believe the taste of the meat changes after they are bred and I agree that the best decoy you can have for any buck is a live doe in heat.

I won' t shoot a doe in a good bedding area, your probably going to push the good bucks out.... by contaminating the area, hunt doe somewhere else, keep the bedding area for bucks.
