Question Too early for scents?

hey guys im hunting in southern illinois and im haveing a hard time deciding whether or not it's too early to put scent wicks out with doe estrus on them. and advice on when the perfect time to start doing this is? also.. in early november, such as today, would rattling be a good choice at a pretty affective way to call in a mature buck?

Little of rattling, grunting and doe estrus scent for cover should be good...

I don't use any kind of scent at all. Never really had any results with that kind of stuff.

If you're going to use the scents, go for it. Not all does come in or go out of heat at the same time.

not all doe go in heat at the same time, usually the first cold front will throw them in heat. i recommend taking the wick with ya when ya leave. and settin it up wind, as to go across yer whole property when the wind blows. changing flavors is a good idea too.
