Default Too Early For Rattling in Montana

I have never harvested a whitetail in the rut using my bow, and that is to be my goal this year. I went out last night with my rattling horns and rattled 3 times within 2 hours without seeing anything on our best stand, not even a doe showed up. Should i get a grunt tube? Am i just too early? Do i need a new technique? Feedback as soon possible would be extremely appreciated due to the fact that i can really only get out on weekends, thanks.
