Great, just great. Now you guys are going to talk me into buying a Brickhouse too....as if the doghouse, doghouse tsc and penthouse aren' t enough of an aresenal....

The TSC is a waste of money, but the TSC Doghouse blind is 8" bigger, according to the web site.
It is on both counts.

I just bought a brickhouse last Friday. I got the one with 8 mesh shoot thru windows and scent lock linner for 159 plus tax. I also got some other mesh which is either extra windows or the door, didn' t take it out to look at it yet.

Anyway the thing sets up quick with two people. Jeff was there to pull on the roof while I held the bottom part. then he pulled one wall and I the other and it popped open. Haven' t tried it by myself but might be a bit slower.

It seems roomy inside for a 5 by 5 square I guess because the walls are popped out. the skin is tight and the zippers look like they will hold up. The zippers on Jeffs penthouse didn' t hold up.. All in all I think it will be ok. Let ya know a bit later on as the seasons opens in 2 days..

The TSC windows are indeed a waste of money. I put them up in my doghouse, and it' s like lookin through waxed paper. you can' t even see through the things.
I bought the TSC model for the extra room, the zip up floor, the gear pockets, the edge releaf, and the thicker material. I just wish they had told the truth about the weight. the cabelas catalog has it at 14 lbs, but it weighs more like 20 lbs.[:@]
cabelas shows the Brickhouse weighin 10 1/2 lbs. but I wouldn' t bet on it bein that light.

Well I went and got the Brickhouse from Gander mountain. The first thing I did was weigh it, I could not believe this thing weighs 17 lbs. I have no idea how they came up with 10.5, must have weighed the thing in a special chanber with a different gravity.

It took a few minutes of cussing to figugure out how to get it started, I was afraid to pull to hard and break it. Once I got it figured out I could remove it from the bag and be set up in under 1 minute. Tring this in the dark may be a different story, I think I will put a piece of reflective tape or somthing on the top so I know where to start.

I am going to weigh this thing again and make sure I had it right. I will probably call Ameristep tomorrow and ask them whats up with their scale. I will do another follow up tomorrow after I time to play around with it abit.

To those using the brickhouse have you found any tricks to pulling the top up when putting the blind up? Doesn' t really work me as they show it in the picture. When you pull the top hub the blind just wants to lift off the ground. I can jerk it real fast but that would create a lot of noise.

GET A DOG HOUSE YOU WON' T LOOK BACK. I HAVE SHOT 3 TURKEYS AND ONE DOE OUT OF MY BLIND. THEY ARE QUICK TO SETUP, AND HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM.

Hey Brad Anthony11

The trick I found was when it is laying out flat, grab the pull tab in the center as shown and with the other hand hold and push on one of the rods on top toward the outside, then pull the tab with the other hand. So push on one of the rods with one hand and pull the tab with the other, this should help.

Let me know if that works any better.
