I was out today for another bowhunt. Free of scent(I hope, used scent killing landuary soap and such) and the wind in my favor, I was able to stalk up on a young buck(looked like a 2x2). I got to within 20 feet of him and I was able to just sit and watch him(until the badger found out I was by his den..heh) for an hour today.
Without a doubt the closest I have ever been to such a beautiful animal. I had no intention to take him, however the thrill I got just being near him is unmatched by anything in the years I' ve been hunting.
My first year, and I' m hooked.

Nice job! Over the years I' ve stalked up on a few, and its funny how many times out of nowhere comes a nice buck. Its kind of like hunting with a live decoy in front of you. It didn' t happen to you this time, but you never know about next time.
Always be ready!!
Good Luck!
