Default are 1" hellfire 100 grain steel force good enough for ELK?

I just noticed the width of the Steel force BH that I decided on a month ago are one 1" wide Hellfire Titanium! IS this too narrow for ELK?

Shoting 2314 at total weight of 445grains. Arrows shoot like a frozen rope and I mean dead on!!

THOUGHTS ????

No, that' s not too narrow for elk. You should get good penetration with a smaller head.

Those heads are an excelent choice for elk or any other animal for that matter. One thing you have to remember is that that 1" cut is using 4 blades instead of two or three. If you actually sit down to figure it out you will probably actually have more tissue cut than a three blade head of 1 3/16" cutting diameter and you would need a 2" cutting diameter head if only using two blades to get the same ammount of cutting surface.

You won' t have any problems in taking an elk with your heads. They should penetrate well for you and do a lot of damage on their way through.

look on Steel force' s web page. they' ve been asked by dangerous game hunters/outfitters to make heads no biger than 1" .
2 little holes beat 1 bigger hole.
