Pretty cool! Especially that you got the pics!
IMO, year and a half old bucks are just flat stupid, in most areas. They haven' t learned yet that they are supposed to be scared of you...
LOL, give them another year, you won' t see that for sure. I will also agree that deer do get a good idea when the season starts. Pressure is up, and run ins with humans are much more common. They start to learn they' d better get moving, or else they end up [X(]
I video' d 2 last sept that had already shed the velvet, doing the same thing, right out in front of my house. They were sparring and carrying on for about 20 minutes. They could have cared less that my son and I were watching. They' d spar a while, stop and eat some...look at us, then go back to sparring. It' s always fun to see them like that.

I' ve got an interesting question for you. Now that you' ve made " friends" with them . . . could you shoot one of them?
I' ve had several deer families that have lived in my yard over the years--even had one button buck that used to look in the window and watch NFL football with me. When I encountered these " acquaintances" in the woods, I couldn' t bring myself to shoot them.
Now the bucks that were tearing up my trees . . . that' s different!
