If you are using a climber, why not just put your bow in your bow holder and climb with it. You can go slower. If a deer comes in while climbing, shoot the deer and go home.
Going slower is safer and quieter. When you get to the top you are not all hot and sweaty. toke a look at www.treestandbowholder.com

I use exactly what Ridgefactor uses, but i put a knot about 6" up past the clip and then the clip rides on the knot instead of cinching to the cam or string. I ended up putting on some zipties on the front side of the clip when the metal clip started to loosen hauling up my backpack.
