i think if its legal us it. i have a crossbow and hunt with it with no problems what so ever. i am not disabled or have any problems it is just preference for me at this time. when i was growing up i never had the oportunity to hunt with a bow so during archery season here in ohio i can hunt with the crossbow. i do have a compound and will take it out a few times but for the most part i feel i can make sure i kill the animal and not wound it with my horton. i will not take a shot an wound a deer. i have seen a few big bucks within 15 yrds and wouldnt shoot because of cover or weeds in the way. you still have to be patient and do your scouting and let the deer get close just like a compound. it is legal and i have no problem getting my meat every year with it.

they give me a look like I' m cheating. I don' t get it. I' m limited to the same distances as any other bow hunter. In fact, years ago before I hurt my shoulder, I used a PSE compound bow and I had better accuracy, greater distance and think the heavier arrows would have been much better.
Do what' s legal, do what you feel is ethical, do what puts meat in the freezer, and do what puts a mature buck on the wall.

Here in Ohio we try to all get along and hunt the same animal whether it be by crossbow, bow, stick, or gun.
