I shoot relaxed open hand. I think what you' re doing is destined to give you some problems. It seems like a good way to induce a lot of unwanted torque at the moment of truth under stress. You' re moving the pressure point away from the thumb pad if you even tense up. Your pinky would act just like a big lever. I say it' s trouble waiting to happen.

I shoot with an open hand also, only differnece I rest my little finger on my stabilizer. I' ve tried it both ways, and I can definately shoot better that way, simply because it helps me steady my bow.;)

I must admit that I tried it a time or two as well but never grew accustomed to it. A couple guys I shoot with use that " method" as well.

My problem with it was that I change bows so often and each bow has the stabilizer mounting hole at different distances from the bottom of the grip...

I always shoot with a relaxed hand. Sometimes open (but relaxed) sometimes I just let the tips of my fingers touch each other...I play around with it from time to time. But I never let a finger touch the stab. If it works for YOU... Don' t change.

i shoot open handed and once in a while i' ll rest my pinky on the stabiliser ,for some reason i don' t do it all the time i don' t know why , it doesn' t make a difference in the way i shoot . i think i did it more with my old bow i know i don' t do it too much if at all with my new one.
