I shoot the Craze from mission by mathews and I love it....it can be changed for a variaty of different sizes for the shooter...and the price isnt bad.

might as well get a nice bow, it might help you enjoy the sport more right off the bat, and potentially help you find success. not to mention a high quality bow will help a new shooter with its instant smoothness accuracy and satisfying letoff. if i were you id look for a gently used mathews lx, switchback, dxt, or drenalin. all have their advantages and disadvantages but all are great bows. and you could find any one of these for at or under 500.
