Steam will straighten them out. Use a tea kettle or something else(I use a pressure cooker ). When the steam starts coming out , I slowly twist my arrows in the steam until they look like new. You don' t want to get too close to it......just enough to get your fletchings back straight !! Good Luck !!

The steam treatment works like a charm. Even just holding them over a pan of boiling water will work, but I like a little pressure behind it. My wife' s tea kettle gets used more for feather straightening than for tea making.

RE: tricks to straighten feather fleching?
guy' s, i knew i came to the right place, cant thank you enough, i kinda thought there had to be somthing, since the hole setup is pretty delicate, i' m going back
to feather after many years of using plastic, i shoot fingers with a compound and
had some real bad experiances last season, in horribale weather conditions[:@]
and when i say bad, real bad, try getting back to those hot bottle necks during peck rut, with 2, 3, 4 feet of snow on the ground, it makes archery hunting a pure nightmare, everything you do is a battle, let alone try and proform at the moment of truth,[] every 2 to 3 minutes cleaning ice droplet' s off the plastic and shaft,
was more then this guy could take, it' s the norm to have to deal with it couple days
out of the season, but this crap went on for week' s ,thanks again,
