Just curious. I am having problems with errant shots when I practice shooting my bow. I think this could be attributed to my grip or hold of the bow. How do you grip/hold your bow? Are there any websites with this info?

I don' t grip my bow, I shoot with an open hand. Rest the grip of the bow in the v formed by the thumb and first finger and leave the rest of your hand open. If you shoot this way it will really cut down on torque. If you squeeze the grip or even close your hand around it the chances of torquing the bow increase exponentially. If you shoot with an open hand you need a wrist sling to keep from dropping your bow. If you don' t want to shoot a wrist sling there was a good thread on this board the other day about how to grip the bow. I belive it was titled a shooting tip from bob foulkrod (sp?) Do a search.

i saw this tip on tv once..... u hold the bow in the crook between ur thumb and index finger... and wrap ur other finger around till u get to the front of the grip.... then u point ur finger tips into the grip so that ur not torquing ur bow u can grip as hard as u want and it doesn' t effect the shot[:-]
