I don' t grip my bow, I shoot with an open hand. Rest the grip of the bow in the v formed by the thumb and first finger and leave the rest of your hand open. If you shoot this way it will really cut down on torque. If you squeeze the grip or even close your hand around it the chances of torquing the bow increase exponentially. If you shoot with an open hand you need a wrist sling to keep from dropping your bow. If you don' t want to shoot a wrist sling there was a good thread on this board the other day about how to grip the bow. I belive it was titled a shooting tip from bob foulkrod (sp?) Do a search.
