Hi:
To help keep the fires fueled in the off season, please share your views on which hunting videos are best.
If you can't find someone's recommendation at you're local video rental store, or gun/archery shop, then you can always ask them to get it. Who knows...we might even start a trend

Whitetail Eye to Eye. The guy I beleive his name was Alan Altizer (SP) was stalking big bucks on the ground. It's been 10 yrs or so ago but it's one I'll never forget.

To get the ball rolling, I will say that the three top vids that I've seen, in order from best to not quite best, are:
"Ultimate Guide to Big Game Hunting In Alaska", by Briar Lake Productions.
"Man Hunter" by Safari Productions.
And "Monster Moose", by I don't remember.
The first is a compilation of hunts, that have been superbly edited to create an intensive series of Alaskan hunts fro everything from Dall Sheep to Brown Bear. Some of it's archery, some pistol, and some rifle.
Be sure to check out the monster browny being arrowed.
The second is more of an adventure story, about a guy who goes to the Canadian Arctic to hunt polar bear with a recurve bow.
He does this in the traditional Yupik tradition, with dog team and native guides. This movie really brings home the "natural" way of things in the extreme arctic. Great story, and great adventure.
And Finally, Monster Moose is a series of hunts for moose with rifle, muzzle loader, and pistol, in the Koyukuk region of Alaska, out of Huslia. I've been there, and it is all true!
Let's hear from ya'all out there.

Hunting the Rut with Ben Lee (now deceased). It was a promotional video but has very good kill shot video. We make video & know how hard field work IS & how difficult it is to make everything come together, making it interesting for the hunter watching.

I don't remember the name of the video, it's been a while, but a guy was hunting black bear from a tree with a spear!!!!
The bear walked under his stand to the bait (legal where he was hunting), and plunged this 18" blade into the bear!! Unreal, amazing to be seen.

I would have to say I am a fan of the Truth series. Also I just recently bought a video called Buck Fever which has by far and away the biggest deer I have ever seen. Some of the gun fotage is not great but the deer themselves are so impressive I have to recomend it.
