What is the best climbing stand for the money?

So what do you guys have ?
I have been wanting to get one and dont want to pay the price of something like a summitt.

Summit stand are really not all that expensive when compared to something like a lone wolf. I have had the same summit bushmaster for the last 9 years. It was $200 dollars back when i bought it. It still runs about the same price if you get the original not the outfitter. Or they often go on sale at the end of the season. Treestands for me are not something to skimp on seeing as they hold your life on their platforms. What is your budget?

I climb in summit's exclusively. Have tried several others, both cheaper and mroe expensive, and they are my favorite. Look on craigslist and ebay...may find a good deal on a used one.

summit x3, you will not regret it.

Pay the price...Why trust you life to a cheap stand???

I use the older APIs but what I have noticed is the guys that
buy cheap are buying more expensive ones later...They are
lighter, last longer and more comfortable...

Have two Summits...there is no price tag on safety...and here are some other feathers..

Light

Quiet

quick set up..

comfortable

I sit all day in mine...my drive is too far for a 1/2 day hunt...180 miles

I've got the Bullet Backpacker..folds up to about 5 inches.

They made it for one year..they are kind of hard to find.

here's one for 289.00

So are you saying other ones fail often ?
Should not get a climber then if it is not a summitt?

I have a rivers edge climber it is heavier than the summits and the api but I feel very safe in it i have had it for about 5 years and it is still in good shape .

My API cost me 230.00 and I love it with the foot rest and a seat and backrest you can do an all day sit in and be very comfortable. It is going on it's 3rd. year and still looks new. I have not heard anything bad about the Summit stands nor mine for that matter,if I get another one it may be a summit due to the fact that mine is a little heavier because of the chains they use to grip the tree. I think the Summits use a cable if I remember right.

I have the Summit Titan. Most comfortable, solid stand I think I've ever sat in.
