Default Mathews shooters....Legacy or LX??

I' ve shot a Mathews FX for the past couple of years, and I think it may be time to pass it down to my son. I had planned on getting the Legacy (same brace height), but it was suggested that I consider the LX. The brace height is shorter on the LX, which - as I understand it - means less forgiveness. But w/the increase in speed and with a drop-away rest (similar to the NAP QT2000 I have on the FX), I' ve been told that the shorter brace height will have less of an impact on forgiveness.

I guess my question is this......aside from being faster, is there any reason to buy the LX over the Legacy? And a follow-up question, does the faster speed really get me anything?

Thanks!!

I love my LX! It' s High Performance cam is adjustable, with two positions for your draw stop, a 65% and 80% which can be changed without a bow press. It' s very accurate, fast, but most importantly, quiet. There' s no real need for all the speed, unless your a 3-D shooter. Muzzy has a Zero Effect just for these bows, so does NAP. Contrary to NAP' s claims, they' re not the first to offer a drop away rest for these bows, Muzzy was.

My advise is to shoot both. I chose the Legacy over the LX. It was the right one for me. But if you choose either....you' ll be happy.
