Default piece of metal pipe around doe hoof

My buddy bow killed a badly limping doe yesterday. When he got to the deer he found out why the deer was limping. It has a 2 1/2" piece of steel pipe jammed around its lower leg between the hoof and the dew claws. The pipe apparently has been there for quite some time,as it was tight to the deers' leg.It had been causing the deer alot of discomfort according to my buddy. He said the deer could not put any pressure on the leg was stumbling badly in the deep snow. The area around the pipe also looked raw and very bloody. The hoof actually looked as though it was bleeding from the bottom. There was also a growth around the upper portion of the pipe.A portion of the hoof was also white in color.Take a look at the pictures.

amazing she survived that long with it on her leg. Certainly would make her slow trying to escape from predators.

Man,those deer are super tough. I imagine that ol gal was in a lot of pain.
Glad he put her down, and glad you shared the story!
